AERO/AUTO JUMBLE FLY &
DRIVE IN
POPHAM AIRFIELD
BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY May 3rd
|
Having decided to support
this event Members of the New Forest Group of The Standard Motor Club watched
the weather reports as the weekend neared. Darrell with his Flying 8
tourer battled on in the cold on the day before to get his car road worthy. Sadly at 8am on the day
the car decided it was too cold so Darrell & Oliver transferred to a modern Vauxhall Astra. In the meantime Dave
Salter in his 1934 Standard 10 DHC made his own way to the show. To be
greeted by hundreds of other classics despite the cold gloomy morning.
