chilly dry morning in September Topper & Charlie in Stan decide to head

Having parked
Stan up and hoisted the Standard Club sail Topper heads off to see |
his attention is
caught by the sound of a whistle from a small steam engine on show. There are many
stalls selling cakes, walking sticks, cards, burgers, roast pork on a spit,
paintings, candles, ladies bags, wood turning, and much more as you would
expect at a market fair. |
While topper goes
off members of the public get a chance to see under the bonnet of Stan the
Standard Flying 8 Tourer and, to read all about the rebuild and the help
given by The Standard Motor Club. There was a
notice board listing the details of membership. |
Not all the show
was for grown ups as Topper soon discovered Nearby was a
Gazebo where two ladies were making up Children’s faces. |
Further down the
show ground were the animals of www.kidsrome.co.uk where children had
the chance to see a wide range of farm animals up close and safe.

Inside one tent
Topper found a stall selling delicious sweets but resisted the temptation to
have some. |
As he made his
way back to Stan where he would be the rest of the two days answering people
about Stan. Nearby the
Blacksmith plied his art on the anvil. |
At the end of day
two it was time to pack up and head home with Charlie in Stan having enjoyed
the Fair and vowing to come again soon to The Christmas
Fair 2010 DON’T MISS IT |
