Unfortunately due to the hot weather the A31 across the New
Forest had up to a 12 mile queue going west and 4 miles going east due to a
serious accident.
This meant that many members aborted their drive to
the meeting.
But a few cars made it through along with several
guests.
Some members arrived in their modern cars, one after
trying it in his Standard b after 2 miles and I hour abandoned and came in
his modern one instead

After a very nice meal and meeting the members decided
to cancel the drive into the New Forest as the traffic was thought to be to
busy on that lovely day.
The members who had come in Modern cars headed off
home.
Dave in the Tickford took the route home via
Lyndhurst, while Darrell who had to queue for over ¾ hour for petrol risked
the A31 then across the New Forest via
Wellow.
All got home safely
