ADRIAN FLUX CLASSIC CAR SHOW AUGUST 2nd 2009

The show, known in previous years as the Wroughton Classic and held near Swindon, moved this year to Beaulieu as an emergency measure when its planned venue became unavailable at the last moment. It was run in conjunction with Adrian Flux Insurance Services, Classic Car Weekly and Classic Bike Magazine and featured a wide variety of fascinating vehicles - from veteran 'old crocks' to rare examples of legendary racing cars and concours-quality cars, vans, motorbikes and other old, traditional and unusual vehicles.

The Club was represented by members of the New Forest Group.

Dave & Val Salter in their 1934 10  Tickford Bodied DHC,

Geoff Winnicott  in his  1957 Super 10

Tony Manbridge in his 1934 10 saloon

Topper the Scarecrow alias Darrell Cunningham  in his 1939 Flying 8 Tourer, ably assisted by Oliver Hannam-Penfold (Oli) and Charlie Crow.

Despite a very bad weather forecast the day turned out very nice and no rain fell. In fact a very sunny day for Beaulieu.Unlike the previous day when the heavens opened up on                 “Calling all Classics”

( See separate report)

Despite the a low turnout of members the few who came were welcomed for their support of a very worthwhile cause

Charlie Crow voiced his appreciation as the press arrived. Then both he and Topper were surrounded by three of the FLUX BABES

As  can be seen both were reduced to shirts in the bright sun light of the day.

The Police Car  Club shared their Charity money with our  group and a total of £150 was raised for the Teenage CancerTrust.

Congratulations were given to the organisers who had saved the event at the last minute by TopperScarecrow
